The Road to Rio Runs Through Edmonton

The Panamerican Junior Championships occur biennially and offers young athletes in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean an opportunity to develop their skills by competing against some of the best  athletes in the hemisphere.

These Championships were first held in 1980 and have produced medalist such as Carl Lewis (USA), Joaquim Cruz (BRA), Jackie Joyner-Kersee (USA) and Usain Bolt (JAM).
